Trinity News

Acton, ON

It’s worth the drive to Acton! Trinity United Church is seeking a full-time ordained or diaconal minister. Nestled in the middle of the Green Belt, Acton provides unique, small-town living within an hour commute of Toronto. Established 170 years ago, Trinity is a small, family-centric church that is tightly woven into the local community. Our profile is available at vacancy listings for Toronto Conference, www.torontoconference.ca.

Trinity News

The Valentine Tea for 2019 was a successful day resulting in a profit of $3499.00.  The day was beautiful for both the weather and also the atmosphere inside.  146 people sat down at our tables.  The Narthex was also a very busy place.  Baking, jewelry, gifts and raffle sales contributed to the end result.  Many thanks to all that baked the tea plate cookies, baked items for sale, prepared the sandwiches, plating the trays, shopped, set-up, take down, served, washed dishes....the list goes on.  We could not have done this well without each and every one of you.  Thank you very much for this day.

The new date for the Admin & Stewardship meeting is Wednesday February 20th at 7:30 pm.

Lunch and Congregational Meeting to be held on Feb. 24, 2019, directly after the Sunday service.  This meeting is for the purpose of voting on the interview team's recommendation for Trinity's ministerial position.  Following due process, Lloyd Paul will chair this meeting.  Sandwiches will be provided.

The Lenten Study Group will be held on Tuesday Mornings beginning at 10a.m. and ending at 11.30a.m. They will begin on Tuesday March 12 and run for five weeks.

Jen is asking for your help in choosing anthems and would love to take requests! Speak to her directly or by email at jensmele@hotmail.com.  Feel free to share why the music selection is meaningful to you!

We have very few reports for our Annual Meeting on March 24, 2019.  Calling on all circle chairs to submit their reports as soon as possible.  We need these reports so that we are ready for our meeting. Thank you.

There are numerous NEW items for sale in the nursery.  Be sure to check out these great bargains. Still some Valentine gifts available even tho the day is over.

There are sign-up sheets asking for your attention: lighting Christ candle and cleaning up of the kitchen following the coffee time.   Please check your turn.
